Hi Claire, I haven't been on for a few days, it's been mad hectic at work, and had visitors for the weekend, so I'm still only a 3rd of the way through this book. Didn't even get a chance to read for the past week. But so far I'm really enjoying it and will put up my review as soon as I've finished it.

I like the title of this book and have spotted in my local bookshop. I haven't read one of Patricia Scanlan's books in ages but will give this one a go.

I read the first couple of chapters this afternoon but it hasn't grabbed me. I feel like I've met the characters before and there's nothing new I can learn about them. Don't think I'll be reading this one.

Got all excited last night as I was talking to a friend at work and she told me this book is out at one of the local bookshops. Went there today and it was not there. I asked one of the staff members and she lookd on the computer........ not even on there. Don't know what my friend was talking about, she must have got it confused with something else. She is pregnant though so I'll excuse her.......this time (he, he)

Hi Everybody, I've just finished Forgive and Forget. I have to say that I really enjoyed it. It was a light hearted read, my personal favourite kind of book. I like the characters in it, and there are so many kids with two families now, that I found it true to life. Also the characters lived normal lives just like us, no mega rich characters, so I found them all very easy to identify with. I know that we don't all like the same kind of books, but I would definately recommend it. The story is to be continued too, so it looks like the follow up is in the making, and I'm personally looking forward to reading it. Here is a synopsis of the book.
What happens when ex-husbands start to fancy their first wives again? Can first wives forgive and forget when their husbands have done the dirty on them? Connie Adams has to make choices. The lead-up to her daughter's wedding has been fraught. Debbie is absolutely adamant that she does not want her father, Barry, his glamorous second wife Aimee, or her step sister Melissa to attend. Barry is equally adamant that they will. But as Connie and Barry join forces to get things sorted sparks begin to fly... Few wedding go as planned, especially when the events that occur at this particular wedding will have far reaching repercussions that will leave their mark for years to come.
There is a character not mentioned in the synopsis, Debbie's boss who's a bit of an ogre at work, however I have to say that I had some symathy for her. I hope that whoever reads the book enjoys it.!!

This book took m e three weeks to read. it is a very rare occasion a book would only last three days when im involved. this could be to a numbers of reasons due to moving, new job, etc but in my heart of hearts i think it was because it just didnt grab my attention. Im a huge fan of Patricia scanlan. my first book i read was pROMISES promises. so she is to thank for my avid reading for writing books that made me want more. The characters irrated me a bit maybe that was it connie should have told that ex husband where to go. for debbie s boss she should have stood her ground a long time ago. debbie was a spoilt child. i felt sorry for melissa having a mother like aimee. bryan was a right boyo altogether. patricia will still remains one of my all time favourites as even though i wasnt entralled with the the book. i still had to read it to see how it finished. will i buy the next book in this saga i think yes i will as my curosity is not fulfilled yet!!
