-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Don't Ask Alice! by Judi Curtin
Alice and Megan are back, and that can only mean one thing: trouble! It's Easter and best friends Alice and Megan are together in Limerick again. They are both looking forward to their confirmation especially as their two families are going out to dinner together to celebrate.
But not even a meal can be simple when Alice is around as she decides to hatch a plan to get her parents back together...
This is the third book in the Alice series, covering Alice and Megan's last few months in sixth class. Aimed at children aged 9-12 years, it's available in all good bookshops, and of course on Amazon.co.uk.

Looks wonderful, Judi. Now all I need is a 9-12 year old to give it to...

Thank you all for your kind words. Don't Ask Alice is supposed to be the third in a proposed series of six books. Better get my act together and write the next three.

Best of luck Judi! I'd love to read them all! I'm going to the library tomorrow morning in Blanche, so I'll have a look to see if I can find the first two before getting stuck into this one! The great thing about books for kids is that adults love them too!

PS And it's great to see a Limerick setting! Very few books have them! I borrowed a book of Oonagh's by Sarah O'Brien called Love Happens and that was set in Limerick, but that's a rarity! I should mention that I am from near Limerick (Tipp county) and know it very very well, so I love books that have references to specific areas.

Thanks Shirley. As we all know, Limerick tends to get a bit of bad press, so the books are my small effort to undo that.

Well Judi, I went to the library and both of the previous Alice books were on loan - in fact, all of your books were on loan! So the good news is that they are obviously being read and enjoyed by lots of people!

Thanks Shirley, It's nice to know someone's reading my books. Will be signing in Belfast and Ballymena later this week, so should be plenty of signed copies available in that part of the country.

Shirley - can I be brazen and tell you that my second novel, Putting Out the Stars, is also set in Limerick! It's still available in some bookshops, published by Tivoli in 2005. Roisin Meaney
