Hi folks, there's a big treat in store for you all when you pick up a copy of Mary O'Sullivan's, As Easy As That (in the bookshops now!).......I've just finished reading my copy and it was fantastic! I've posted a review on my website, www.marymalone.info/page6.html if you want a sneak preview! Mary O'Sullivan is from Carrigaline in Co Cork. Her first novel, Parting Company, was also a terrific read! Hope you enjoy it, Mary.

Thanks Shirley. Title just suggested itself from story line. We complicate our lives , don't we? Sorting things out can be 'as easy as that' in the end!
Hope you have a brill hol. Envy you the fab French food and the glamour of Marseille. Enjoy ! Mary O S

Hi Mary, I read As Easy As That this weekend and really enjoyed it!!! It was a real pageturner and flowed so well - I've read some books recently that felt laborious, but this was very much the opposite! It was well structured and sophisticated. The characters were believeable and mostly likeable - except for Adele!!!! I even felt a bit of empathy for Fred with his work situation, even though I was disgusted at how he treated Kate at times. I also felt like putting my hand into the book and giving Kate a good shake from time to time!! She was so compliant and let Fred away with murder! You know you've created a good character when s/he provokes something like that in the reader! That being said, I could understand why she acted the way she did, as it was in keeping with her character (you developed her personality very well too without being OTT about it - it was a very subtle character development).I thought the book had a satisifying and logical ending. I'd definitely read Parting Company having read As Easy As That. Well done Mary and all the very best with it!

PS I saw the book in Dublin airport, so I'd imagine it is going to lots of lovely warm climates over the summer! :-)

Hi Shirley, Hi Shirley, can't tell you how thrilled I am to read your very generous review. So glad you enjoyed story. I read - and write - for utter escapism and hope whoever happens to read one of my books escapes from their reality for just a little while too. You know how fragile writers egos can be! You've just put mine back in working order for another while. Thank you so much. Hope you had a good holiday. Mary O S

I had a fantastic time Mary, thanks! I'm being really honest about your book - it just grabbed me from page 1. I think it'll be a big hit with everyone on this site. I love a bit of mystery and intrigue in a book, and this one had that in spades! And little Bobby was a cutie and a half - he sounded adorable!

Bobby's going to school now! I find it hard to say goodbye to my characters and keep an eye on them as they go along beyond THE END.
What yummie french food did you eat in Marseille? Mary O S

Aw, bless! He's in good company anyway with the way he ended up in the book! Won't say any more on that so as not to ruin it for others! ;-) I don't like fish, and Marseille's restaurants are, naturally enough, full of fish dishes - so I skipped the bouillabaisse and had duck, veal and veg-based dishes instead! The resto in our hotel was fantastic, so we didn't have to go too far for good food!!! There'll be plenty of gymming this week!!! :-)

Hi Mary, My copy of As Easy As That is tucked up with swimming cossie and kids rubber dingy in our holiday bag! We're not going for another 2 weeks (Portugal), but am so disorganised that I have to allow myself so much time to plan and pop things into the bag as and when I remember them. One things for sure though, I have my holiday reading!! And all the wonderful reviews have me dying to get into it!!
Talk (and see you) soon Love Renate P.S. I've been off the Write On air for ages as had problem logging in, but guess who saved the day ---- you guessed it, the only and only Oons! Thanks again honey!

Thanks guys, it's great to be back here too! Well Mary, I've learned the hard way to pack in advance. Last year's holidays saw the 2 boys with multiple daily outfits while I had no undies!
