Do you remember Madonna in the Bustiers. It's very decorative under wear, tight fitting
I have to look up the other one, maybe a shawl or something

Yea Tara made the skirt. Wedding dress can be very expensive. I know lots of girls that get them made because it's cheaper. I was lucky, my sister worked in a shop that sold wedding dresses and got me mine for a present. She now has her own wedding dress shop

Hi Abby, I got as far as 200 pages with this but I haven't touched it in over a week - I'm determined to finish it at some stage but it is just not grabbing my attention at all! I read somewhere that the ending is good - I really hope it is!

No, I'm serious - I just have 40 pages left to go in another book, so I'm going back to Double Wedding after I've finished that one. I bought it brand new, so I'll have to finish it to justify the money anyway! I'm also reading the 'Irish Girl About Town' short stories as I seem to have less and less time to do anything these days, so it's nice to fit a short story in here and there. I Cathy Kelly's story in it a few nights ago, 'Thelma, Louise and the Love Gods' and now I'm reading the Maeve Binchy one 'Carrissima'.

Well girls, I finished it!!! And I really and truly laboured through it. It just didn't engage me in any way at all. I don't believe that any woman would be as wet as Jessica when it comes to her own wedding. No way. And I don't believe that any man would go along with things as easily as Mike did either when all we saw of him was his constant declarations of love and affection for Jessica (and I think you know what I mean by "affection" because I lost count of how many of those kind of scenes there were) - if he loved her so much, he would have made sure to put his foot down about the double wedding when he knew it wasn't what she really wanted. Plus he didn't have any of the guilt associations that Jessica had when it came to Carol, and he had no problem telling her where to go at the end, so why not just nip the whole thing in the bud to begin with? (Cos there would have been no book then, I suppose....) Mike just seemed to be set up to be the "perfect boyfriend" as a foil to how crxp Gary was. I didn't ever see him as a "real" character. This book seemed to be much longer than some books that I have read recently, but I still didn't end up feeling anything for the characters. All I felt was relief that it ended. I did like the wedding scene at the end, so I was glad that the book went out with a bang at least. I also liked how the author kept the setting in mind at all times. I really like when books tell you exactly where the character is going down to the street level, even if it's a place you've never been. When you do know the place where the book is set, I find that it makes it more real to visualise the characters walking down certain streets, etc. Hope the earlier part of this post doesn't sound harsh - I suppose we can't like everything!

I think if anyone is reading it and they get fed up of it, they should just skip forward to the section 'The Wedding', like you guys advised Susan to do. You could easily fill in the gaps up to that point. What are you reading now?

I've just finished Too Little Too late, Colette Caddle. It was a wonderful book and took me only 3 days to read the 470 pages. i could not put it down. The kids wanted to go to the playground Sunday and it came with me,that evening Oceans Eleven was on telly but I could not look at it. I just had to keep reading. It was a great ending, nothing rushed, eveything came into place at the right time.

I've learned one thing this evening, girls and that is you all must have more stamina than I do!!!! (As you know I didn't finish the book but I will now - just skip to the wedding).
Charlie, You wont be disappointed with Patricia's other books there nothing like D.D.
Shirley, Rachel's Wedding was great very funny. I've got into an awful habit of reading a few books at once. I've only read 3/4 of Take A Chance by Sarah Webb. Must get back to reading it.
