Oh my God, Oh my God, I finally got a Jodi picoult from the library on Wed and I finished last night... Wow I have to say I've never read a book like that..the hairs are still up on the back of my neck and I even gave mike a fright when I jumped up in the bed when i was reading it last night. It was so sad and shocking at the same time..that poor girl Anna, what a life to have and they way it ended..Im still in shock, I wont give anything away in case anyone has'nt read it yet..Now I know what ye were all talking about... I can't wait to get hold of another one of hers...It totally blew me away...

I felt the same way when I read this book, Angela. It is her best one in my opinion, but maybe that is because it is the first one of hers that I read. She is totally awesome (I know I sound American but it is the best word to describe her!) She writes each of her books in just nine months AND she has three children. How does she do it?

Awesome is the word for her.. I gave it to Amanda to read as well.. Im sure she'll feel the same way...wow nine months thats a baby term..fair play to her for being able to capture a persons attention like that with 3 kids as well...I just could'nt believe the ending I was in tears... To go through all of that and then just end that way...it was unreal..I like the way she goes from person to person so you get everyones aspect of the story..It really got me...cant say any book Ive read lately has got me like that... Im dying to see what her others are like now...theres such a long waiting list in the library for her...Charlie is going to post me The tenth circle so i cant wait to get it....

I'd say my face is strange too...mike thought there was something wrong when I jumped up in the bed like that, I just got such a fright reading it...it was so unpredictible, I liked that, I hate when you read a book and you know whats going to happen..You just did'nt expect that at all... really looking forward to more..cant understand why its so hard to get them in my library??

Havent read Plain Truth yet... my best up to date is The Pact I loved it.
I think that why I love her books so much they are so unpredictible I would never in a million years think I would read books touching on the situations Jodi writes about but she does it in such a good way that you don't feel megga down, I like her books for a complete change to my normall read.

Thats true if I knew a book was going to be like that I would'nt read it but the way she does it, grabs your attention and you want to read it.Completely different to what I normally read and I loved it... Nineteen minutes is actually about violence in schools. i.e. the shootings that have happened in America, I picked it up wrong... She must do some research or have one hell of an imagination.

well I finished the book today. The first half I found very tough going. The whole topic was hard to deal with. I felt so sorry for Anna and her brother. The father was trying to do his best all round but the mother I don't know what to make of her. the ending was so sad but how else could it have ended. One of them was going to dye but i didn't find it that much of a shock just very very sad.

I always end up in a depression after a Jodi Picoult book! I suppose its just the reality of her books. I need to read something light hearted after-wards. I don't know how she does it let alone with three children.

I couldn't stand the mother, Claire. I hated what she was doing and didn't agree with it at all.
The ending was tragic and such a shocker!

i hated the Mum too..how could you do that? have a baby just for her body parts...very tragic..Amanda seems to like those kind of books more than i do...same as you Susan I need to read something funny afterwards...it is amazing as to how she can write like that with a young family...fair play to her....
