Carly Cooper earns a good salary, (albeit in a job she detests), thrives on girls' nights out (when the girls can be extricated from their husbands) and has been engaged four times (no comment).
But at thirty one and still single, she can't help wondering if she'll ever meet 'The One'... Worse still, what if she already has but was just too blind to see it?
Carly decides to take control of her life and go on a mission: to hunt out her ex-fiancés and re-evaluate their husband potential. It will mean quitting her job and flying to all four corners of the globe to find them. And she may come home with nothing but a suntan and a few good stories to tell her friends... But whether she gets her man or not, at least there'll be no more 'What ifs?'...
very clever read enjoyed. like you nicc i got confused at times. It was a great read though. lol. it was bril!! very clever the ending was a bit rushed though. she could have done that alot better. i eknjoyed it. Is Why not a sequel to the story

Why Not isn't a sequel as such but it is about one of Carly's friends and has some of the same characters in it and talks about things that happened in What If. Does that make sense? You'll understand when you read it.

Thanks for the review Oonagh. This book sounds very similar to Claudia Carroll's 'Remind Me Again Why I need Man'. Is it similar?

I was going through my pile of books when i found these two looking at me. They sounded easy enough, I wasn't looking for a book that need a lot of attention. I picked up What If? and groaned inwardly, ah not I thought a typical chit lit book, the sort where you know the ending before you finish the first page. But it was funny, very amusing and totally unbelievable. I had a smile on my face the whole time. And I enjoyed it to the end.
I picked up What Now? straight away and got stuck into that. It was a bit like reading the first but through the eyes of somebody else. That took up the first half. But the rest I really got stuck into and was pulled along with the story. I really enjoyed it, maybe even more than the first one.
These books are from Nic, what do you want me to do with them?
