The humour in this book well you will be giggling away too youself. Once I got into it flowed. A bit dragged out at times this one really for Claire and megan I can totally see them debating the story line out. must get them to read it actually!! any how here is the synopsis
Synopsis Jackie Ball knows that happiness is hard to find, so when Dan Lewis jogs into her life with his skin-tight shorts and sexy smile things start to look up. One night he presents Jackie with a diamond ring and suggests he trade in his BMW for a people carrier. But there's a fly in the ointment -- her first husband Henry. As far as Jackie's concerned, their marriage is well and truly over, so she engages the services of a solicitor and sets about moving on. But Henry has some old scores to settle and the divorce papers hitting the dog-haired mat are just the excuse he needs. It's not that he still loves her, but Jackie walked out on him without even leaving a note and now he wants to know why... Has it any one read it! Im dying to discuss it!! Now I must admit i enjoyed expecting Emily but Amazing Grace well lets say I didnt get past 50 pages and she has a new book which also caught my eye and I actually wanted to really buy it!!

I haven't read it Oonagh. Thanks for the review. I've noticed the new one Claire Dowling has out at the moment. It has a gorgeous pink cover - very pretty!

I did enjoy it very much but I was wondering as to why jackie just walked out like that? She hears him say Beautifully, beautiful and runs?? That was kinda silly any normal woman would go up and rip him to bits...Even just to see if he was cheating..but I liked it..I thought the sister was very strange...so was the judge..

he was a little bald man who was afraid of his wife..lol.. Not really the type of person you would see her sister with..the sis was a bit of a wild one and she gets pregnant by an old balding little judge...very funny.Oh she def had, she literally ran out the door two seconds later..She didnt even confront him not one little bit..I would have liked a little bit of a showdown.

I'm reading this at the moment. I loved Clare's talk at the readers day, thought her writing was really sparkley. The writing in this book is pretty funny. How old is it? I am pretty sure I know what's going to happen though. Rather stereotypical characters. but fun set pieces.

I really enjoy hearing Claire Dowling speak also. She will be reading from her work in November with Irish Pen. Catherine Daly will post the details soon, I imagine.
