Out of Cathy Kelly, Marian Keyes and Maeve Binchy which book is your favourite and why?
Cathy Kelly - Someone Like You and Best of Friends. Reasons for the first were that I strongly identified with the characters and the second was just so heartbreaking.
Marian Keyes - Sushi for Beginners and her latest (can't for the life of me remember the title) love all her books but these two stick in my mind
Maeve Binchy - Tara Road, Scarlett Feather and Quentins just so well written and she really sucks you into the scenes.
Lets hear it from you gals!

For me..... Maeve Binchy - Circle of Friends. It the first book I'd read written by her and I loved every minute of it, way better than the film. I also loved The Copper Beach and Evening Class.
Marian Keyes - Rachels Holiday,it was just so hilarious.I've enjoyed all her books though.
Cathy Kelly I find this one a little harder. I think What She wants comes to mind first and Someone Like You

The Cathy Kelly Book I like least is Just Between Us found it hard to identify with any of the characters. Loved Evening Class as well

It was the one with the Millar girls the mum and three daughters. I should identify with that since I have two girls of my own and a new foster daughter lol

My Favourite Maeve Binchy is 'Light a Penny Candle'
My Favourite Marian Keyes is 'Rachel's Holiday'
And I have only read one book by Cathy Kelly, which I didn't enjoy very much. (About a newly married couple returning from American ( I think) to live in some tiny village in Ireland. And the girl discoved that she was pregnant. Another woman, a mother, died of cancer in the book.)

What's your favourite book by Patricia Scanlan girls?
I loved Promises Promises and Mirror Mirror the best and also really enjoyed Franscesca's Party.

It has to be City Girl for nostalgic reasons. this was one of the first 'chick-lit' or 'pop-lit' books that was set in our own world rather than reading American or UK based novels. Though I was only in my teens when I read this, it was the first time I began to think about writing myself! Thanks to Patricia Scanlan and those other fab Irish girls who followed...
