I had to get the train home unexpectedly yesterday evening, so I popped into Chapters bookshop and bought Looking Good for my journey home. I actually shortlisted my choices to three books and read the first page of each, and this stood out by a mile. The first line has a great double entendre, and it hooked me in straight away. I read half of it last night, and it's a very immediate book - from the very start, you're reeled in. And there's no messing about waiting for the action to happen. It's no surprise that this book won the Poolbeg Write a Bestseller competition!

Yep, I did indeed. I love her newsletters as well! Must read 'More than Friends' too. You guys all thought it was great, and that's a good recommendation.

Lucky you Tatty! I think it has a great ending and I really liked the main character. (I've forgotten her name) I loved the descriptions of where she lived and how she was into art.

Thank you Emma that is a good explination its a very unusall name never heard it before
you are welcome to my copy of Looking Good if you want just pm me your address. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ But it’s easy to be happy when you have no problems. Grainne and Patrick are madly in love, with successful careers, plenty of money, holidays and romance. The only thing missing from their lives is a baby, and for Grainne this is fast becoming an obsession.
But on a cold November night on cold hard tiles, Grainne’s old life is suddenly and irrevocably ended and a new uncertain one begins.
Now she has to question all she believes and trusts. Now she has to begin again, to find resources she doesn’t know she has. Is her new life worth the cost of everything they shared? Is it worth losing Patrick for? Maybe it is.
Of one thing she is certain: the decisions she will have to face will take all the courage she can grasp

Thing I like about it is everything gets going really soon in the book about chapter 2 and its like OMG I can't belive this is happening and I also thought what eles is going to happen in the book but loads does and I like the way the court case was done not dragged out just right and one bit last night had me in stiches about the male doctor[can't spell his position] do you know what I mean? when her friend and him start dating and Grainne says "you can't date him hes seen my f***Y", LOL I just loved it very funny.
can't wait for tonight to finish it and find out the end but also don't want the book to end.
