Anyone watch Richard and Judy's book programme on Saturday? There was a lot of biographies and beautiful "coffee table" books mentioned but nothing at all about fiction; that I saw. Unless I missed something

Eastenders is great at the moment.
I can't stand Rosie's character in Coronation Street either!
Is anyone planning on watching Celeb BB tonight?
Another programme to watch out for is 'In Print' on The City Channel. It has some great author interviews on it.

Hey Susan! Hope your holiday was great! Flippit, I don't have the City Channel - In Print sounds great! I watched most of BB last night and enjoyed Matt Lucas as the hijacker. Have to say it's Fair City all the way for me at the moment! Love the Jimmy, Robin and Ali storyline!

Er started back again last night, I hate the way Rte have it on a sunday coz if anything else happens they bloody knock er off... ohh one more thing for all the soap lovers there is going to be a change in the soap line up...no more soaps on SUNDAYS..Emmerdale will have an hour long episode on tues and it'll clash with eastenders and corrie is going to have 2 episodes on a fri....that is a pain in the b**t...

Angie, I'm so excited about Desperate Housewifes - although it will eat into my writing time. I just love that programme - pure escapism. And Tom and Mike help with the appeal, of course.
I'm also patiently waiting for the next series of House.

They scheduled the beginning against desparate Housewives. How dumb is that? The half I saw was very good though, such a professionally made documentary. And I loved what he said about the Sopranos being modern day Greek Tragedy. I've been saying that myself for ages, though not so eloquently. That's why he won the booker and I won nothing. actually did I tell you I won a Hamper from the Irish Times at Christmas? On the First Day of Christmas my true love sent to me finished in 10 words or less. The best pay for 10 words I've ever got! Pays much much better than poetry.

What is with this rubbish of having the double episode of Corrie on Friday now and then no episode on Sunday?! Well actually, I know why - it's because ITV want to have a soap free Sunday, as they are changing their scheduling as part of a TV turnaround tactic, but it's so annoying because Sunday Corrie was part of the fabric of Sunday nights!!!! Ah, it's like when they stopped showing Glenroe back in the old days ;-)

Hi Girls, I don't get to see the soaps all the time with work, but I saw Corrie on Friday night, and have to say that I shed a few tears. My ex called in to see the cat!! yeah long story, but when he arrived at the door, Corrie was just over and I had been crying. Think the chap thought I was mad!! I watched Messiah on BBC1 tonight, the 2nd part is on tomorrow night. The movie Along came Polly is on during the week, with Jennifer Aniston. I haven't seen it so I'm looking forward to curling up and watching a good girlie movie. It's on on Tuesday or Wednesday night. I missed Eastenders on Christmas Day, with all of the running between houses, but I watched all of the episodes on the following Sunday. I think it was on for about 3 hours!! It was brill tho. Bit boring at the moment though. I love Catherine Tate. Thinks she's hilarious.

Poor Vera. I missed it/ They were such a good couple.
What was in the hamper? Lots of booze, wine, champagne, port, whiskey, not so much food, chocs, pudding - christmas and chocolate, some Belgian waffley biscuit thingies that lasted about 20 seconds. That was it. Worth I think about 220 Euro. You're lucky to get 40 Euro for a poem you've sweated over for months!
I'll look out my winning entry later...

I cannot believe that I am watching Idols here. Amy is mad about it and can't wait for Saturday nights to watch it. we are now down to the last 5 and it is getting very exciting. One of the girls we liked was knocked out las week and one of the judges walked away he got so annoyed that she was voted off. I thought too that she would have been in the final.

Hi Claire, I haven't watched Idols this time around. It's funny the way that some of the best singers get voted off. You would wonder what people are thinking when they are voting. Did anybody see The Late Late Show on Friday night? I was watching it while I was getting ready to go out. Marita Conlon-McKenna was on it, about her new book The Matchmaker. Actually the item was about being single and dating in Ireland. It was funny. I don't feel so bad about being single after watching it. Seems it's impossible to meet anybody these days. All the women on the programme were saying how hard it is to get a date nowadays. Marita was saying that they should bring back the slow sets in the disco's. God do you remember them!!!! LOL.
