I've just started reading The Mile High Guy by marisa Mackle. Only a few chapters in but seems good. I hope the kids are good today as I don't feel very weel and I'd like to just lie on the lounge and read.

Oh I hope the kids are good today too Nicc! There is nothing like lounging on the sofa and reading!
I am reading Terrorist by John Upd**e. It's brilliant, enthralling and very different. What a writer! He is like another species, in his own category! I am enjoying the insights it is giving me.

I'm reading Patricia Scanlan's Double Wedding. Actually I've been reading it since about Monday - I just haven't had the inclination to read it. It's not boring as such, but it hasn't grabbed my attention. I'm actually going to try and get stuck into this weekend in the hope of finishing it sooner rather than later so that I can read something else.

Well I managed to read the rest of Double Wedding yesterday which was pretty good going as I'd only read 5 chapters the first time I picked it up earlier in the week. Anyway at least it's finished. It got slightly better but it was certainly not my fave book by Patricia Scanlan.

Finished The Mile High Guy and really enjoyed it. Now I'm reading Everyone Worth Knowing by Lauren Weisberger, the same author of The Devil Wears Prada.

Am reading Fresh Powder at last. It's not bad so far. Just finished Betrayal of Grace, and loved it. I agree with you Claire, these are the types of friendships I am more accustomed to!! I can relate to every character in the book in some way, either I have a friend like one of them or I know someone who does. Grace was a bit naive I think, but aren't we all a bit when it comes to our best buddies? We trust them and don't imagine they would do the nasty things by us, as we wouldn't do it by them, but there are one or two who don't give a hoot. I had a friend like Miriam years ago, but not in business...my so called friend stole her friends partners and boyfriends, and some of their jewellery to boot. As I said she WAS a friend of mine but I haven't seen her for years now, and don't want to either. Thanks for lending this book to me Claire, I really loved it. Do you want me to send it back to you, or has someone else asked to borrow it first???

Of course you don't! I think it's brilliant that mums now have the option of coming online and chatting to friends, as it must get very isolating sometimes. I know that when I eventually decide to have kids, I'll be online all day every day!! ;D

Thanks Oonagh Isn't interesting what different people like. Although initially it took a while to get into I really enjoyed it, I think as I said much more that Cathy Kelly's last book. I like Kate Thompson (how is A Perfect Life going) although I haven't enjoyed her too most recent books as much. My favourite by her is The Blue Hour or is it Room?! I am though looking forward to reading her Pixie Pirelli creation.

I think you might enjoy it but its a hard one as it has something you don't like in a book an affair only a small part of the book is about that as it has about 4/ 5 main characters and switches from each one, I loved it I could send it to you no worries and you can try it.
Just got a bargain Thirty and Fabulous for £4 from e bay £2 for the book £2 post and package I also got The Time Travelers wife by Audery Niffenegger anyone read it? so pleased with Thirty and Fab didnt think I would get it.
and I'm buying no more now I am making a promise on here NO MORE BOOKS I had a sort out yesterday and I have a HUGE pile to get through so from now on I'm window shopping.
