Since most of us have read the book of short stories we thought it would be interseting to see your opinions on them. Which ones did you love, what was disapointing, did you come accross new authors?
Looking forward to your thoughts on them all. Starts tomorrow around 8pm and if you can't make it, leave a post.

Hi Guys,
Really enjoyed the short stories from this book. I just realised that I didn't actually read all of them, but my fav of those I read was Ber Carroll's The Designer.
Don't think I will get to log on later, although I will try. Look forward to reading the posts.

I have read them all and i enjoyed the book. Most of the stories I really liked and tried not to look at the authors name till I was finished, so the it wouldn't influnce me in any way.
The Designer was a great one and I wil be looking for more by Ber, loved the style, can't help but wonder what her books are like.
Tracy's one was another fav, Still Crazy After all these Years, chilling
I was dissapointed that there wasn't a new story from Marian Keyes. Although I love Rachels holiday, I had hoped on a new short story.
I've made a list and will type it up later

Tiaras at Teatime, not sure what I thought of this one, but the kids party in the begining was funny
The Hitch Hiker, I loved this one, so very sad. Reminded me a bit of Hammer House of Horror, but it wasn't a horror story
Pigs might Fly, thought this was great! could nearly smell the pigs myself. want to read more from Anne Dunlop
A Heartbeat, this one made me cry so sad but warming. I had to put the book away for a while after reading this one

Days are busy on ur feet all day and u dont notice the time going and you get to spent time with the clients as well!! all the clients would go to bed early enough and tend to sleep all night!! Great time off when ur on nights!! you enjoyed children of eve then!! Im delighted there s a thread on the book in the review section I think!!

oh and today was one of those days that I could have done with The Suntan Man. I was so stressed out over nothing and Amy was really getting on my nerves, me trying not to get annoyed with her. Boy did I need someone like him today
Female Intuition, true Melissa style, loved it from start to finishGet Lost, another one on abuse. This was sad but I was glad she didn't run away, why should she
Old Flame. we talked about how easy it is to have an affaire, what with email and texting and I thought of you Oonagh reading this one. The woman was so close but didn't do it, I was so happy she decided to talk it all out with her husband

The Mermaid, not my style left me confused but the one This Place, that was so sad but I loved the idea. Atfirst I thought she was dead and buried and was bout to enter heaven but she was to be reborn. I felt such hope reading that one, it was so sad and evn a bit morbid but I love the way it ended

Post by claire on Feb 12, 2007 20:39:58 GMT
i thought Maeves one was typical of her, the woman was so blind to what was going on around her. I got the impression she might have being trying out a book along those lines

Oons I'm raging that the mesenger wasn't working tonight, would've loving to chat with you but beter luck next time.
As for the book, I enjoyed having the short stories to read. Someting to enjoy in between books or with a quick cuppa. There were for me anyway some 'new' authors and I will be looking out for their books. Thanks girls for a great read!
