The job didn't interest me at all, not my knd of thing. The weird clothes she had to wear. Then she'd e-mail Aidan to tell him what she was wearing, and ringing his voice mail. Then it dawns on her that he is dead and not coming back

That was very sad alright it was just her way probably to talk to him. 20 euro though is a rip off for a book! i agree with you Claire.

The book did get me thinking though about how far people are probably prepared to go to make some sort of connection with a person they've lost. You could totally see why Anna was so sucked in by the idea of getting an appointment with Neris!

I love your avatar Claire! I loved the whole idea of the "feathery strokers". Anna was so worried that Jacqui would consider Aidan to be a feathery stroker when she first met him, and was so relieved when she didn't!

That's really weird about the page deletion. Could we even do that if we wanted to? Didn't think we'd have rights to do it! We're just going to have to write loads more now to make up for it! :-)

The idea of the feathery strokers, where does she get it from. That's the fab thing about her though, isn't it - nobody else would be able to come up with that stuff! Even if the sum of the parts isn't enough for a reader, the little things always make up for it!

Sure not to worry about what we've lost - we can just talk about new things.
What did you think of Anna's pitch about creating loads of hype over the new product? Do you think it would have worked in the "real world"? Have to say, I thought it was a good idea. Hype seems to be everything when it comes to marketing anything in this world!

Right my opinion again! I enjoyed it not as much as some of her others. I could nt believe Aidan was dead thought he left her her something. i loved Mammy walsh and i Hated helen little stories. I sKipped them most of the time. I really enjoyed them playing scrabble though that brill and how Mammy walsh found out! I hated that i spent 20 euro on it thought it was too much money to spent on a book that had spelling errors in it! Ok girls between the 3 of us here we spent 60 euro on it!20 euro on a big book and i am not mean with money at all but it drives me mad how publishers get away with that! in my opinion its just not on!

Just looking at the prologue here - what did you guys think of it? It really makes total and utter sense when you read it back after you've read the book. I wonder if many readers tried to analyse it from the word go in order to work out what the book was about? I think someone on this forum said they guessed what was going to happen from the prologue!

yes some of the things I would say would work. Not so long ago here, red gnomes were popping up all over the place. They were even on the internet for sale. it was all to do with a new tele comm thing

It was a good concept on selling the product! I would not be bothered though if that idea came to life. im not really in to creams and stuff like that too much!

Yeah, it really is crazy money to pay for a book. I wouldn't pay that much for anyone but Marian. I was so glad that Poolbeg sent me a new book when the copy I bought was missing a section!

From the prolouge, I found it confusing. It made more sense to me after I read the book. But I think also because of it I thought Aidan had left her for someone else and thayt is whay it was such a shock when I realised he was dead

LOL Claire, our posts are similar! Just reading back your posts there. The descriptions of Anna's clothes in her emails to Aidan actually annoyed me, for some reason - it was just too much detail and you had to visualise each and every outfit!
