Hi oons
I loved the book too, it brought back loads of memories of all the Abba songs. I love the detail in the book with the little book at the top of each chapter and that the chapters were named after songs. It's ages since I read it and I'm trying to remember it all now. It was about three sisters, two of which were in a tribute band, one breaks her keg and then the youngest shyest sister takes her place.

Well, I loved the characters in this book. They were all really easy to like and I got into their lives straight away. I loved the twist at the end of the book - it made perfect sense given the information we had about Wendy's past, and yet it wasn't too obvious. Who was your favourite character?

I also liked the exploration of Wendy and Ronan's relationship and its problems. I think it's probably a situation that a lot of married couples face. Des was such a complete creep!

I just reread the back of the book and now remembered what the big secret was, that was a shock although it did happen a lot. Wasn't Mias friend a pain when she moved into the flat??

What were the problems again??

Also liked the fact that the ending wasn't a complete stereotypical happy one - a period of time had to pass before the situation began to rectify itself.

Des was a guy that Wendy knew from her Mayo days - he was the guy she went to the hotel with and kissed, but she didn't go any further with him. The problems were that she and Ronan had been together so long that she was getting bored, and she was working too hard and wasn't spending enough time with her family. Yes, Alva was a God almighty pain in the butt! Don't know how Mia put up with living with her!

Hi Claire, hi Oons! It was really nice that when Mia performed on stage, she came out of herself so much! I felt bad for her that she was so painfully shy.

Oh yes I remember the slimball now. It's so easy to think that things will be better or more exciting with someone else, I think it is a phase quite a few people go through.

It was cool too when we found out that Ronan knew Wendy's secret all along, and yet he was fine about it. It showed that he really loved Wendy.

And when we found out that Wendy was Mias mother, it made so much sense the way she carried on. Imagine your nephews being you half brothers

You're right Oons, the ending told us everything we needed to know about all the characters, and it was done very efficiently - it only took a few pages to tell us what happened to them all!

Yep, Mia's father ran off to Boston with a woman in her thirties! And he and Wendy were only teenagers at the time!

Des was a nasty piece of work. Remember when Wendy decided she didn't want to sleep with him, and he said she was just using him to get back at Henry (Mia's father) and according to rumours, he'd left Wendy with a little reminder? No wonder they moved out of Westport!
