Hi Claire & Abby Sorry I missed out. You seemed to have a great chat. As I said earlier I don't think this book was as good as Sheila's previous. Saying that I just didn't seem to click with Destinations either I have to agree with you girls, Kevin was a right pain. He was so suspicious it drove me crazy. Hope your arm is OK Claire. Sorry I missed you Charlie. PS I picked up an oldie but hopefully a goodie Woman To Woman by Cathy Kelly. Anybody read it?

Hi Abby
I'm still reading a book by Nicci French because I haven't had much time to read lately. So I can't wait to start on Woman to Woman.
I think it was Claire that said sometimes you don't know who's who in Cathy Kelly's books. I think they can be a bit confusing. Don't get me wrong she's one of my favorite writers but the storyline can be a bit tiresome when your trying to keep up with all the different characters. Do you find this yourself?
PS If I'm gone off line by the time you read this I'll chat to you tomorrow.

At the start when I've put the book down and I go to pick it back up again sometimes I get confussed who is who and I flip to the back cover to rejogg my memory its usually not far in that I start to remember who's who

Hi girls,
Sorry I didn't make it - I actually had the chance of a mini-sleep in this morning, as Kate's teachers are having a stop work to discuss some changes to employee conditions which the government are going to put through parliament and get passed because they now have a clear majority - phew, that was a long sentence for this time of the morning! Anyway, she doesn't have to be in till 10.30am, so I got to get up a bit later - and much as I love you all, I love my sleep more - sorry!
I've quickly skimmed through all the posts, and I'd say I pretty much agree with what you said - I couldn't remember what it was about either, and I haven't finished rereading it, but I do remember being a bit irritated by some of the things that happened at the end - I'll talk about them when you've finished it, Charlie. Don't have time now anyway.
Abby, a doona is a duvet, or continental quilt as they were first known, way back when. I can remember having an ordinary quilt, blankets and a sheet - in fact I found my old school quilt when I was cleaning out the house in Scotland.
Better go, talk to you all later, and will come back in and have a better read.

Charlie, you'll certainly have to get readin but no peaking aloud okay, and none of the "it just fell open to that page when I put it down and a bit caught my eye and then I couldn't stop reading" excuses righto!
Joan, hope you enjoyed the sleepin. I arrived at the local public school this morn to find the carpark empty and all of 10 students in the playground, I then walked the corridoors of the offices to find some staff but it was completly deserted. I thought maybe the holiday had started and someone forgot to tell me.

I don't think it was her best work - loved her others but wasn't to keen on this one. Don't think it will be very memorable but an enjoyable enough read.

well I got it finished and I did enjoy the book but I felt it took along time to get to the point saying that it's the kind of book I like ie: not loads of characters and I liked the sisters Andie and Jin the story line was belivable and I am defo going to read more of shelia's, I've been looking on her website and her new book later this year looks good.
