trying not to give too much away here, but at the end for the Big showdown when everybody leaves and Jin asks Andie is she's alright, I thought that was a bit out of Jins character. I kinda thought maybe shed find something of Tom's lying around maybe the next day so something and pester Andie about it till she told all.

does Andie stay with Tom? she has just walked away from him in the bit I'm up to and I would think that's it finished

Post by claire on Jun 30, 2005 20:01:44 GMT
lets put it this way, it's not easy for andie. she doesn't want 'anyone but him'

|
|
Post by Abby on Jun 30, 2005 20:02:09 GMT
yeah Andie did, I kinda thought the way Jin asked was out of character, they didn't get on all the best at normal times and Jin had her own issues, I didn't think she'd notice that sumthin was up with Andie

When Andie said that She and Tom had been together for 4 years and not told a sole I felt real sorry for her, even though she said it was to help keep it all a big secret from the rest of the world i felt that if she had really close friends or even just one really close friend she would have told them, I got the opionin that she possibly had work friends but no one else to talk too.

i found that strange too. i thought she was very lonely and insecure. maybe it had something to do the rejection she got ie not getting into the orcastra(?) and then her relationship fell a part

I felt sorry for Andie and I liked her she was the main character I liked out of the book
Hope Lisa is okay, she may be getting tired at this stage

yeah you're probably right. I liked when she played and Jack sang. The first time Dominic came down and mentioned her music I thought she'd get all uptight about playing it in her room after that, knowing that other people could hear it.

well charlie that's what i thought too. she could have anyman but jack. but there was a small reference near the end where andie says she doesn't want anyone but him. maybe jin has also felt that way about her husband

when you have a few characters in a book I sometimes lose track(I know I'm not the brightest)but I had no trouble with this book,I know there wasnt loads of characters but it was easy to keep track on each of their lives

Thats for sure Claire, if Jack had just met Andie first, maybe if Jin had bought a ticket for Cora and Andie to go on the trip they might have had a chance, but I bet Andie would refuse to go if Jin had bought her one, especially since she was with Tom and all.
