I enjoyed her sunday meetings and then going off with the one fella, can't think of his name. Little day trips and stuff. And when they met a few months later and they had both changed, they no longet looked so sad and they saw each other differently

I dont think i realised until she met aisan s friend it had me hooked to find out the story with Aidan. It dragged a bit though there in the middle of the book before i found out! It was driving me nuts for a bit to find out what was the story behind aidan

I can't remember at what point it hit me about Aidan being dead Oons - I copped it before we were told, but I don't remember exactly when. I was sad when I realised. i had to laugh us both saying the same thing.

HI Claire,
I have turned up late! I did post on the first page but it is lost now! I agree with a lot of what was said. I got my book out of the library so wasn't €20 out of pocket for it, and I am glad!

Do I have anything more to add? Hmm? Not really Claire! It was a good honest read! Oh yes, I loved the way Aidan turned up to her in the end. It wasn't at all sentimental. I thought she got it just right, and would love to be able to write a scene like that so well myself. It was a very 'feel good' ending without being soppy. I liked the way that it was only when Anna let go and relaxed that he turned up. I find that happens to me in life - when I stop striving for the thing I want it appears!

Talk to you all tomorrow.
I posted a post earlier too and it seems be be gone. It was just to say I hadn't read the book but will get around to reading it at some stage. I've only read two books of Marians and they were Rachel's Holiday and Lucy Sullivan is Getting Married. I've got Angels over a year and I still haven't read it yet.
I agree that 20 euro is way to much money to be spending on a fiction book especially with all those mistakes! I don't think you can pick up a book these days without mistakes in it.
I also said earlier in response to your post Megan that I do agree that Marian keeps true to her readers. She has a great sense of humor.

we don't know what happened but a whole page went missing last, so the first comments were missed.
I think the ending was great too Megan, not over the top in any way, just right.

Well I was wondering which man she would end up with? I thought it would be her 'Sunday' friend who lost his wife. I kind of liked him! (It was fun the way he turned out to be a bit of a flirt when he was back to being his real self!)

I think the guy your talking about was gay, oons, his name was Angelo, dressed in black. I was thinking that she might have something going with Nicholas, the on with the mad t-shirts

No he wasnt gay was he? I must check that out. i didnt think he was now!

I don't think he was gay either. It was insinuated that under different circumstances Angelo would have liked to sleep with Anna, but as he is a gentleman he didn't take advantage of her when she was in such a state! I don't think she had any chemistry with Nicholas! Can't see her ending up with him!

I thought that the book insinuated that as well megan!

Finished this book last night and I loved every minute of it I had to keep reading when I first started I had no idea what the book was about or what the title meant so I was guessing all the way, I was sad when I found out Aidan died. I loved the main character but wasnt intersted in her job or clothes they were a bit boring. I liked her sisters is Rachel Rachel out of Rachels holiday are they all related from each book? Lucy from Lucy sullivan gets married or am I on the wrong track?
I enjoyed Helens e mails thought it was so funny at the end when it was all a set up really funny, and her mum was so funny aswell I liked the bit at the wedding party when all the sisters and her mum were dancing and Anna felt happy and she realised she loved them all a really nice moment.
one thing I didnt like was the "c " word near the end it was said a couple of times its one word I have never liked and didnt see the need for it.
was dissapointed with her reading at the end as well I mean did she pay for it? I wouldnt dish out that sort of money it was plain it was a rip of. I cried a little when the book finished it was written really well and liked the scene at the end with the butterfly but I would of liked to know who Anna ended up with maybe could of done a 5 years later thing to let us know. one of Marians favourites for me.

That's great Charlene! Yes, Rachel is the same girl from Rachel's holiday. She is her sister. I don't think Lucy O'Sullivan involves the same family, but am not sure.
