Oh no!!! What have I done? Can I delete that bit Catherine, I'll make it worth your while! ;D P.S. I may have to go soon, Homer my dog, is looking for walkies, and hubbie is tempting me with snacks! Don't worry, I won't say anything I promise, although if I do find it, do you mind if I email you and tell you? I'm determined to find it now but honestly, I wouldn't tell anyone. Thanks for answering my questions, your answers were brillant Amanda.

Thanks Catherine. Never Say Never is out next weekend actually! And I've just learned that it is Easons Book of the Month for February which is great news.
Random House will be publishing Not What You Think in the UK this August, and then Wishful Thinking (book 4) is out in the Autumn so it's shaping up to be a busy year already!
Can't wait to read Charlotte's Way, I really loved All Shook Up, you might remember me emailing you about it ages ago! Thanks again for everything. If there are no more questions, I might sign off.
Really enjoyed this, although my fingers are throbbing! All the best,
Melissa XX

If there are no more questions, I might sign off. I suppose we'd better let you go!! Thanks again- and looking forward to NSN (and thanks for the lovely comments on All Shook up- funny how the first book is completely on the back burner, as you prepare for the publication of the second, and work on finishing the third!)

In the meantime, I'm off to see if I can bribe Catherine to delete my more stupid comments! Take care, Melissa XX

I could kick myself for missing your interview, Melissa! Got the heads-up email, but failed to make a note of it - fatal! I had a free morning, too - both teenagers stayed with friends last night and hubby's gone to work, so nobody would have known I was not doing what I should! It would have been 7am here in Sydney when you started. Anyway, my main question was the one Eileen asked about you knowing the twist at the beginning. Amazing that you don't really, because when I go back and reread them, it's so obvious how clever you've been at leading our minds in another direction. You realise, you're going to be inundated with emails with suggestions of your little thing that you missed. I see things like that in books all the time, but don't worry - I never remember what they were until I read the book again, and I certainly didn't notice anything in yours. Great news that Never Say Never is out next weekend - must go over to the poolbeg site and have a look. Maybe you could suggest to Random House that your Australian readers would very much appreciate the opportunity to buy your books in the local bookshop. ;D I think Cathy's books are published by them here. I will definitely look out for Karin Slaughter's books - thanks for the heads-up. Just finished Tom Clancy's "Teeth of the Tiger", which I didn't think was nearly as good as his earlier ones. Now onto Helen Fielding's "Olivia Joules" which seems almost as funny as "Edge of Reason" which I got for Christmas. Hopefully, after that it will be "Never Say Never", but may just reread your first two in between, very carefully, Melissa! - Just teasing! Anyway, better go - son is home now, so have to get back to the "business" website before he twigs to what I'm doing. Should really be the other way round, shouldn't it - he should be hiding things from me!! LOL Will come back in later and do a general hello to everyone, cos I haven't been around for a few weeks. Take care, and thanks for taking the time to come and talk to us, Melissa.

Hi Melissa, I really enjoyed the chat last night, but I couldn't think of a single question to ask! I'm sorry to say that I haven't read any of your books YET!! but plan to. You said that they are going to be translated, will they also be in Dutch? If so I will have a better chance of finding them here. And not all covers of irish stories get the 'cottage' treatment here. I've only seen that with Maeve Binchys books. I have reread the threads here and someone asked about the romantic ways that your characters meet. Now I'm just wondering how you met your husband, or am I not allowed to ask that. My oldest sister met her husband at a pop concert, my second sister met hers through a pen-pal advert, two weeks after meeting they got engaged and within the year got married. And my youngest met her hubby in his taxi. He had to drop her off at some place for work and when she was getting out he asked if she would like to meet up later! So we don't all meet up in pubs and clubs. God first I have nothing to say and then I can't shut up. But now I have to go get the kids from school. Thanks for last night and I hope more writers get the courage to do the same Claire

Melissa, Just to reassure you that I've gone through both book since and have found nothing out of the ordinary. So it seems you are still safe enough! ;D Thanks again for a great interview on Wednesday, you are very open and honest and good fun and it was great to talk to you. Amanda

Dear Melissa Thank you very much for answering my question and than you too for your newsletter which I received this afternoon. I would have likened to tune in live but can only access the Internet while at work. It is great to hear that your new book is out soon. Thanking you again and best of look with Never Say Never, I will be buying it certainly. Eileen Tyrrell.

Hello again everyone,
That was great fun and I have to thank Catherine again for inviting me. Hopefully we will get a few more authors coming on for a chat in the future.
Amanda, I'm relieved you haven't found anything yet - now stop trying! ;D
Claire, glad you enjoyed the chat and love the different ways your sisters met their true love. As I said, romance really can happen anywhere! My own first meeting with hubby was in a quite boring location really - the local pub, although the circumstances were good fun. There was a football match on the telly at the time and lets just say I'm, ahem quite passionate about football (and my favourite team Manchester City!) So after a bit of football-related banter, we got chatting and the rest is history! We still fight cats and dogs about football though.
Joan, good to hear from you and sorry you missed our chat. You should definitely try Karin Slaughter. Her first book, Blindsided is just fantastic - I think you'd really love it. Also, I think my Random House editions will be available in Aus although they'll be a little behind the Poolbeg editions for the moment.
Eileen, delighted to answer your questions and again thanks for your lovely comments. I do hope you enjoy Never Say Never. Reading the posts above, there seemed to be a little confusion about the actual release date of Never Say Never but it did come out earlier than expected, so I hope all is sorted now!
Best wishes to everyone, and I hope to be able to get on here more often.
All the best, Melissa XX

Dear Melissa
I was raging I missed you the night you were online - it was one of those many evenings where I was struck down with incredible morning sickness (whoever invented that phase was having a laugh - morning? Constant all day and night sickness more like!)
I am like a child eagerly awaiting the candy store to open when I think about purchasing Never Say Never! I hope to fly home for a few days at the end of the month but who knows if I can actually wait that long to buy it! I just know you won't disappoint and I'm already hearing raving reviews about it!!!
Hope you're well and thanks for your recent congratulations mail - take care and enjoy relishing in all the wonderful feedback on your latest bestseller! You deserve it!
Love Leah
