Well i don't like books with too many twists, but I thought it sounded very interesting. We had a thread going a while back where a writer asked how we picked out books. was it the cover, the plot on the back of the book or the write-up that the book got. Most agreed that the review had little to do with picking a book, they just went with the feel that they got while in the book shop. How do you choose a book, besides going for the one from your fav author

Well I'm 38 and having a hard time with it, dreading turning the big 40 As I said I've 3 kids, oldest son is 9 and the I've twins just turned 6, a boy and girl. I never had a motherly instinct, it just sort of happened. And Susan 25 is too young, get out there and enjoy life first

I tend not to stick to the same author all the time. Like to try others. I think you get that instinct. Have to say I'm a sucker for covers!!!!! I KNOW YOU SHOULD NEVER JUDGE A BOOK BY IT'S COVER!!!!!!!! but I think it does give you an insight into whats inside.
Only introduced myself to Martina Devin lately didn't realise how good she is until I read 'Venus Reborn'. That girl seem's to have a way with words.
I'm reading an oldie but a goodie at the moment 'Guardian' by John Saul. I tell you he's the only man that can get me to bed early!!!!!!!!!

claire they say life begins at 40! Don't know how I pick a book, but if I read a good book I always try and read all the books by the same author

Have either of you seen the cover of Alison Norringtons book yet, 'Three of a Kind" I believe it's called. It's got me wondering what's inside! I'm not too kean on the covers of Cathys books but I know it's always a good story so I don't look at the outside.

Have to say Claire I'm not crazy about the cover on Cathy's books either but the same as yourself I know it will be a good read. Has anybody ever met Ms. Kelly?
Alison's looks very colourful and vibrant.

I don't think that I'm going to be around much longer, I'm yawning big time here. It's already 10:30pm here and I've a busy day tomorrow. The kids are in school in the morning, free in the afternoon. I help out at our local playschool and tomorrow we hav 56 kids in for an Easter 'brunch' and an egg hunt. It's always hectic but great fun as long as you don't get stuck with nappy duty It somtimes happens that they all need to go at the same time I've enjoyed talking to you both and I hope you 'll come around more often on the site. I think poor Lisa must have had problems again getting to a computer, her one at home doesn't work at home so she tries to get to an internet cafe. Once she was caught speeding and another time she had a crash, not her fault I might add. But being pregnant they sent her to hospital for a check up. If I'm not on tomorrow, I hope you all have a great weekend and I'll be back somtime next week bye for now Claire

I've never had the pleasure of meeting any of the writers, but Cathy is going to Oz soon and Nic and Joan might be going to see her!

Hi girls, god i must be THE worst book club organiser ever. Im terribly sorry wasnt able to make thursday really am.
Kai really acted up and just wouldnt settle for stephen, by the time I finally "sedated" him it was 9.35. I just have to get a lap top for home I think, its just way too much hassle trying to get out to an internet cafe on a thursday night you know. And coming back into work is too awkward too especially when i finish at 5.30.
Anyway, claire, susan and charlie, thanks for coming along anyway and reading back over the messages you all had a good chat introducing yourselves etc.
No talk of "never say never" though! How many of us have actually read it?
I loved it, have to say, Melissa Hill is my fav at the moment. I love her style of writing and her characters are amazing, so strong and beliveable.
Of course the twist in Hill's book are defo what makes it for me.
Have some of you ordered it in??

Hi Ladies Well I came on line for the book club and was waiting and waiting for someone else to come along. Finally Charlie, I believe, came on and then Susan so I just tried to get a conversation going. None of us had read the book and I kept hoping that someone else would drop in to tell all about it but no-one else seemed to be around. Nic and Joan were away, Lisa you just have to do something about your computer problems, Leah is still away i think but with 95!!!! members only 3 of us turned up. I've also started talking to Angie on the introduction pages and I hope she will be joining in soon.
This week there is an on line interview, isn't there. God I hope more people turn up. What are the plans for the next book club? Any ideas yet Lisa?
Well that's it from me for now
see yas around

I'm sorry I missed this one as Never Say Never is one of my favourite books ever!!! It's a great story, totally unputdownable and full of twists and turns. It's about a group of friends who were in college together and decide to have a reunion a few years later to see how they all got on after college. Melisa Hill is such a lovely writer and her characters are so lovely and funny that you really do feel as though they could be your best friends. As you can probably tell, I loved this book!! And I would seriously recommend it as a great read.
