God Kelly being a teacher is one of the hardest jobs going! I'm a helper at our local player school and it has given me an insight to how hard it is working with kids. I've forgotten what I was going to say, I went to get another drink ;D

Oh I can't wait. Don't worry bout the spelling, Claire. I've taken a few shortcuts as u can tell. I'm not a very quick typer so I hope it is ok.

oh god girls, do you know what hes doing these days? going into the bathroom and making 'getting sick noises into the bowl and letting little dribbles come out of his mouth!!' YES, you;ve guessed it... hes impresenating his mammy pueking every morning!! ;D ;D

Claire-- I teach English to middle school kids--grades 7 &8. I love it, but it is exhausting sometimes. They have such DRAMA all the time--I don't need any--I suffer through theirs enough each day!
Lisa--how old are your little ones? How funny!

So has he got a baby in his tummy also? What year do you teach, Kelly? My sister is a primary school teacher and I have no idea how they put up with all the noise. It would drive me crackers. She had some pretty bad kids over the years though, calling her f...ing c... and all and brining knives to school and nothing can b done about it because of their age.

Hi girls
well I know I'm days late, but better that then never huh?!
I enjoyed the book, found it to be welcoming as it was different in the sense there was a touch of adventure about it.
I wanted to reach in and grab Lucy myself because she was described so beautifully! Aaaahh - my mothering instincts are already beginning at 4 months pregnancy!
Got too a little frustrated about them not calling the police, but one thing in particular made me think that the 'person' who took Lucy (I will not say who) was somehow linked to the story of the irish girl who was taken by her father years ago - the story that kept coming up in the book. I was convinced of it!!!! Anyone else feel that?
I haven't read Tracy's first book, but I will be doing just that as soon as I get my hands on it.

Hey Charlie,
This is the thread about Loving Lucy. I have read the book also and would like to discuss it too. So perhaps we could kick start another discussion here. How did you find the book?

I really enjoy Tracy's writing but this one is my least favourite of her books. For me the story was too narrow and focused on only one thing ie finding Lucy. Also my reading of it was interrupted because this book was confiscated off me during a high security alert in Manchester airport. I had to wait a couple of weeks to finish it.

well I finished last night and got to say I really enjoyed it I liked the way it was written, I liked the characters and I was totally not expecting how the book turned out! Have a bit to say but can't because it would give all the book away and it would spoil it for people who havent read it yet, Tracy has such a unique style and I love the flow of her books. I have loved all Tracy's book's and was wondering when Tracy's next book was for release?

Exactly! I am going to say something now that will spoil it for those who haven't read it yet. SO DON'T READ THIS:
About half way through the book I realised that Carole the childminder was the one who had taken Lucy. When she said that she would call around to the mother to talk about it instead of the mother calling around to her, alarm bells went off in my mind. Also I really didn't think Ray would have taken his daughter as it was completely out of character for him. So for me, the suspense wasn't there as much.

I loved it! I love the way tracy can write in the first person. I cant remeber did i suss out who took her I think i did work it out but late enough in the book!! it was such a page turner and i loved Conor (I think) what a hunk!

well I never guessed at all, I went along with the back of the book and totally thought Ray had took Lucy. I enjoyed Tory and Conners search for Lucy and I liked the relationship they had, I wasnt sure about them sleeping together so soon I know if I had been in Tory's situation there is no way I could of slept with someone while my child was missing. I was fustrated why they didnt call the police I would of after about a day I think. It was chilling to read in a way to think the childminder could do that but sadly these days you can't trust anyone and its so sad to type that, I have never had childminders and I know they all arnt like Carole but still scary to think what people can do. I was pleased Tory took a chance and found happiness in the end. Tracy's books are so different to others I read I'm always abit scared to go for thriller books and Tracy's books do have an edge to them but I enjoy them without being petrified, one thing I never forget a Tracy Culleton book long after I have read it.
